Monkey, Bonk, Splonk, Monkeyla, Baby Bonk, Boo Boo, Spuh-lonk = all the same fabulous baby girl. Monkey is a 4-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix (we don’t tell her she’s part Chihuahua). We rescued Bonk from Chapman’s Dachshund Rescue in York, SC. Her main mission in life is…food…and barking at the neighbors for doing nothing at all.
Baby Bonk does not currently show signs of arthritis (that my husband and I know of), but we are super conscious of her diet and exercise! We walk her and her sister (Mumble) every day after work, and are careful with what and how much we feed her (low-calorie dog foods, no human food). She’s a highly active pup, and we hope to use CARE recommendations to keep her that way!
